Be prepared

It is sometimes overlooked when buying tools and equipment for your plot that an essential addition to your armoury should be a basic first aid kit, kept close at hand to your plot.

Gardening inuries are common place, and can be easily treated if you have the right equipment to hand.

A basic kit containing bandages, plasters, scissors, tape, antiseptic cream and/or wipes is a minimum requirement, but you can never have too many items to cover any eventuality.

Cuts, grazes, bites and stings can all be treated quickly if your kit is at hand.
